Dr. Havas is an associate professor of
Environmental & Resource Studies at Trent University where she teaches and does research on the biological

What is Radiation?
(Electromagnetic) radiation is essentially
energy that is transmitted in the form of electromagnetic waves or particles.
These waves differ in type, wavelength and frequency and can be flowing or blocked, which is what
